When Charly and Micha kicked off their grand adventure, the burning question popped up: which boat would be the perfect match for their project?
With Micha's boat-savvy brain in the mix, they quickly zeroed in on a Leopard 48 catamaran from Robertson & Cane—because who doesn’t want a boat’s high quality, performs like a champ, and has enough space for a dance party?
Unfortunately, these beauties are as rare as a unicorn at a boat show, but after a stroke of luck (and maybe a little magic), they stumbled upon one—better yet, it was one of the only two customized Leopard 4X performance versions! Talk about hitting the jackpot!
Meet Samsara, the diva of the seas, crafted as one of only two custom performance versions of the Leopard 48 in sunny South Africa back in 2018. With a hull shape that’s more optimized than your favorite workout routine and carbon fiber that keeps her light on her feet, she’s ready to dance through the waves! Her rig is so big and strong, it could probably bench press a small boat, and those high-performance laminate sails? They’re like the designer outfits of the sailing world! Plus, her interior is lighter than your friend’s excuses for skipping the gym, all while delivering top-tier performance with a side of comfort and stability.
The previous owner’s upgrades were like a half-baked cake—just not enough to serve our guests the comfort they deserve! After three years of lounging around in the shipyard, Samsara’s interior and sails were begging for a makeover. So, in 2023, we decided to give her a full-on spa day!
Samsara got a shiny new antifouling, fresh shrouds, sails that could catch a breeze from a mile away, a 3000W solar power system (because who doesn’t love free energy?), a 5000W inverter, 2000Ah lithium polymer batteries, new engines, a lazy bag that’s actually lazy, a whole new set of cockpit and saloon cushions, new mattresses, and a whole lot more. Talk about a glow-up!
Charly, our interior guru, took one look at the old design and said, "Nope, not on my watch!" So, we decided to give Samsara a fabulous makeover too.
Now, the salon, kitchen, bathrooms, and cabins are decked out in a chic, modern, and feather-light style—think of it as a spa for your home! guess what? It’s all done with a green twist, because who says you can’t save planet while living in style?
Get ready to chill in style! Each double cabin comes with air conditioning to keep you cool, a fancy new drinking water setup for your hydration needs, and hot and cold water for those indeive shower moments. Plus, you’ll have your very own private bathroom—complete with a toilet and shower—because sharing is overrated!
Not only does Samsara boast a gorgeous interior and exterior, but it also comes packed with enough fun and water toys to make Poseidon jealous!
